Bump to Baby Group

Bump to Baby is our pre & post natal exercise program run by our exercise physiologist, Emily Sando. Women are welcome to join our group class from their second trimester*, right through to 12 months post natal.

Before commencing the group we ask that you see your GP and fill out the Pre-Exercise Enrolment Form together. Once you have done this, you may book in for an initial assessment with Emily.

As an exercise physiologist, Emily is trained to assess and monitor your response to exercise, to ensure that your program is safe, effective and individualised. Emily will be able to advise you on exercise for prevention and management of:

  • Back Pain
  • Pelvic Pain
  • Gestational Hypertension
  • Gestational Diabetes
  • Pelvic Floor Dysfunction & Prolapse
  • Abdominal Separation

Each week Emily will also facilitate discussions and education around all things health and pregnancy.  From time to time this will include presentations from special guest speakers, such as a Midwife, Pelvic Health Physio or Professional Counsellor. This is a safe environment to discuss current recommendations, as well as share experiences and ask questions. Topics of the week may include:

  • Deep Breathing & Pelvic Floor Activation
  • Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
  • Emotional Care & Mental Health
  • Nutritional Guidelines during pregnancy

During your initial assessment you will also be provided with the "Bump to Baby" resource e-book, and access to our exclusive Facebook group.

*Please note, if you are in the stages of pre-conception or first trimester you are welcome to see Emily for an individual consult, and join the group from second trimester.

Exercise classes are held on Wednesday's 6-7pm
