Emily is an accredited exercise physiologist graduating from a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement & Health Science) in 2011 before moving on to study a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Exercise Science in 2012.
She has since been working in private practice, helping people with a range of conditions including:
Emily is a strong believer in exercise as a form of medicine, and has seen first-hand how movement can improve a range of health concerns, with particular interest in exercise for the management of conditions such as osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, pregnancy, mental health and cancer.
Emily believes in combining active treatment with education, behaviour change and lifestyle coaching so that ultimately people can learn to manage their own health.
Emily enjoys spending her spare time cooking, gardening and arranging flowers. She likes to stay active by going to the gym, doing pilates, playing women's football, or walking her Labrador along the many beautiful trails that the Tea Tree Gully area has on offer.
