Bump to Baby

Every Mum needs support during pregnancy for their baby’s health and their own.  At My Local Physio Plus, we love being a part of this journey.

Our 'Bump to Baby' program encompasses all of our services for pregnancy and post-natal women, including our group exercise classes. 

And because our health professionals have completed extra training in women's health, we can help you from pre-conception right through to post-natal recovery.

Our team will work alongside your GP, midwife or OBGYN to help ensure you are taking care of your body in the best way possible during this special stage in your life.

Our team specialise in making sure you are exercising safely for the benefit of you and your baby and provide advice on the following:

  • General Advice
  • Home Program Setup
  • Gym Program Setup
  • Supervised Individual Exercise Session (Clinic based, Gym Based, Pilates - your session is tailored to your needs - babies welcome!)
  • Group Based Exercise Sessions
  • What exercise you should be doing (intensity, type, volume etc)
  • What you should be avoiding
  • How to exercise your pelvic floor
  • How to safely exercise your abdominals
  • Gestational Diabetes
  • Hypertension & Pre-Eclampsia
  • Pelvic Floor Dysfunction & Pelvic Floor Safe Exercise
  • Techniques for active labouring
  • Returning to exercise + sport after baby
  • Abdominal Separation
  • Trimester Specific exercise advice
  • Referrals to other programs to assist with topics such as mental health, breastfeeding, nutritional health or community programs.

 

The Bump to Baby program includes working with Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Acupuncturists and Remedial Massage Therapists.
