Group Exercise Physiology Classes


We offer a type 2 diabetes group exercise program to all diagnosed type 2 diabetics. Eligible clients are required to participate in an initial assessment in order to be enrolled into the program. Participants are then entitled to attend eight group sessions each calendar year.

Our group diabetes program was developed to equip our patients with the knowledge, confidence and tools to help manage their diabetes. The group class utilises both cardiovascular and resistance exercise, and the expertise and experience of our accredited exercise physiologist Emily Sando.  This ensures continued motivation and enjoyment in the program!

Classes are held Tuesday 10.30am-11.30am

and alternate     Saturday  9.00am-10.00am

In 2017, South Australians were 12x more likely to be admitted to hospital for a fall, compared to an injury sustained in a car accident. As we age we often suffer from a decrease in balance, muscle strength and overall flexibility, which alters the way we move and may increase our risk of sustaining an injury from falling. The risk increases further with changes to reaction time, concentration and other health concerns such as stroke, incontinence and osteoporosis. The good news is Exercise Can Help!
