Cat is an experienced Physiotherapist who has been treating the local community for over 20 years. Cat has a broad scope of practice, working with her patients to deliver a comprehensive assessment and then provide individualised treatment, typically incorporating practical advice, education and exercise, as well as manual (‘hands on’) therapy to help her patients on their road to recovery.
Cat's special interests include:
- The treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions
- Cervicogenic (neck related) headaches
- Women's Health including perinatal care, continence management, and post-natal exercise prescription
- Treating dizzy patients with vestibular disorders
- In-rooms GLA:D rehabilitation for hip and knee pain
- Prehabilitation prior to orthopaedic surgery
- Orthopaedic rehabilitation
- Falls prevention.
Cat really enjoys a challenge and loves helping her patients reach their full potential and achieve their goals. A mother of two, Cat has experience with the stresses on a spine during pregnancy and parenthood and has worked with a wide range of clients from athletes to the very elderly and those with chronic pain. She gets a lot of job satisfaction out of helping her patients recover, helping to relieve their niggling symptoms and reach their goals.
Outside of work, Cat enjoys spending time with her family and friends, loves water sports at the river and the beach such as kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding, and looks forward to winter so that she can go skiing in the snowfields! She spends a lot of time as a sporting Mum, both on the sidelines and as a coach, courtside, cycling trackside and poolside, watching her very active kids. As an ex-netballer and middle distance runner, she really enjoys working with sporty adults and kids with their injury management and prevention.
Cat likes to keep herself up-to-date with the latest advances in physiotherapy by attending various professional development courses and symposiums throughout the year.
Cat is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and is in the Musculoskeletal and Women’s Health Special Interest Groups.
