Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient medical practice that's a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Acupuncture requires the insertion of fine, metal, one-time use needles to stimulate specific points on the body to bring about a therapeutic effect, through improving ‘Qi’. ‘Qi’ (pronounced chi) is the energy flow created along the pathways that connect the acupuncture points on the body. The pathways between the points are called meridians, which are also connected to organs in the body. If there is an imbalance of Qi, it can create or accentuate pain, or inhibit the body’s ability to heal itself.

Therefore, through putting pressure on specific points with acupuncture needles, symptoms and various health conditions can be relieved such as:

  • Migraines and Headaches
  • Back pain
  • Knee pain
  • Stiff necks
  • Menstrual pain
  • Muscle spasms and pain
  • Blood pressure problems
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Sleeping disorders
  • Hayfever

Acupuncture can also help assist and improve the following:

  • Smoking addictions
  • Overall body function and self-healing process
  • Health and vitality
  • Facial beauty
  • Stress, anxiety and emotional wellbeing
  • Fertility support & pregnancy care
  • Digestive health and gut issues

While the experience can be different for everyone, acupuncture usually doesn't cause discomfort or pain!
