Physiotherapy
What exactly is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy. You know the term - but do you know what's actually involved? At My Local Physio Plus, we use Physiotherapy to help our patients reduce pain and stiffness, restore, maintain and improve strength and mobility and ultimately improve their quality of life. Physiotherapy encompasses rehabilitation, injury prevention, movement biomechanics and health promotion. But there's more to it than hands-on treatment. Our profession is evidence based and utilises a holistic approach which evaluates each patient individually in order to understand their lifestyle and goals. Physiotherapy can assess, diagnose, treat and prevent a wide range of health conditions and movement disorders.
Physiotherapy can provide relief from pain in many ways. Maybe you suffer from headaches or experience spinal pain from poor posture. Perhaps you have injured yourself working at home, at work or out on the sports field. Whatever your condition, at My Local Physio Plus we spend time working out the best way to relieve your pain and improve your movement function. We will also educate you about your condition and help to develop self-management strategies.
