Rehab and Neurological Physiotherapy
At My Local Physio Plus, our dedicated Physiotherapist Nicolle brings extensive expertise in Rehabilitation and Neurological Physiotherapy. She is equipped to offer specialised support for you or a loved one in the following situations:
- Recovering after a hospital stay
- Requiring assistance with balance challenges or falls
- Managing a neurological condition or disability, such as:
- Stroke
- MS
- Brain Injury
- Cerebral Palsy
- Parkinson's Disease
Rehabilitation Physiotherapy is highly beneficial in these circumstances to help patients:
- Work towards your specific goals: Whether it’s regaining strength, improving flexibility, or achieving functional independence, your program will be focused on what matters most to you.
- Move more efficiently: Learn techniques to improve your movement patterns, making everyday activities easier.
- Manage muscle tightness and pain from neurological conditions: Get personalised strategies to reduce discomfort and stiffness caused by conditions like stroke, MS, or Parkinson’s disease.
- Improve balance and reduce falls: Improve your balance through targeted exercises and techniques that lower your risk of falls.
- Develop strategies for better movement with dementia or Alzheimer’s: Tailored approaches to enhance mobility and function, helping you or those you care for navigate daily tasks with more confidence.
- Create a sustainable home exercise program: Receive guidance on exercises you can do at home, designed to maintain long-term progress.
Rehabilitation Physiotherapy input also includes education to help understand the conditions better, and strategies to help them be able to do the things they would like to do.
